“I credit Blog that Converts for helping me find the need to focus my business like a LASER instead of the shotgun approach.”

Meet Gene Hammett, who was struggling with conversions. I asked him some questions, and here’s what he said:

When working on your blog, what was your biggest struggle? And how did Blog that Converts help you overcome it?

Getting “conversions” (people to sign up on my email list) was certainly my biggest struggle. What I learned in the first module was the approach I was taking was all wrong.

I blogged based on what struck me for that day. It was the “haphazard approach” to content creation. I learned inside the “Blog that Converts” program that your blogs need to connect together to a common theme/target market which makes them much more valuable.

I also learned that SEO alone would not get me the traffic and conversions I wanted to build my business. I had blogged for about 12 months before taking the “Blog that Converts” program and only got limited traffic and a handful of sign ups. I used Derek’s Drafting Approach and got some great results with an infographic and increased engagement with those on my website.

Also it is worth mentioning that due to the “Blog that Converts” program, I have narrowed my focus of my business to Web Designers and have begun to develop a product directly to this market to help them increase their business.

I credit this program for helping me find the need to focus my business like a LASER instead of the shotgun approach. It is making all the difference in the world. Thank you Derek for being there and creating this program. It was AWESOME.

[Note from Derek: There is a technique I call “The Divide and Conquer” technique. When you leverage it, it walks you through how to focus your business (and blog) so that people view you as an expert. The best part? When you do it right, you won’t pigeon hole yourself and limit future growth].
